The most popular beaches in Playa Blanca are situated at the end of the harbor. Each beach has a unique feel which makes visiting them all a must-do thing.
This beach is located right on the main strip in Playa Blanca and is known as white beach’ for its color and cleanliness. A large selection of sunbeds and central access to hotels, shops, bars, and restaurants, also make it the most popular beach in Playa Blanca.
It’s just so easy to get a drink or bite to eat after swimming and sunbathing that many visitors simply stick around here all week long.
Playa Dorada (Golden Sands Beach) can be found along the promenade, roughly one kilometer east of the town center. It’s known for beautiful sand and wave-barrier protection, which keeps the waters calm.
This beach is perfect for recreational water activities such as jet skiing or banana boating, both of which are extremely popular tours.
Easy access to nearby shops restaurants, bars, shops, and wifi cafes make this a decent destination both day and night, as it’s only a 10-minute walk away from the town center.
Playa Flamengo Beach
You’ll find Playa Flamengo approximately 2 kilometers southwest of the town center. The water here is very calm and is an ideal place to relax from the hustle and bustle of Playa Blanca. Great parking facilities are available too, but many people just prefer the twenty-minute walk back to town.
Located roughly 8.4 kilometers southwest of Playa Blanca, Playa Papagayo and is made up of several smaller beaches that are separated by high cliffs. With postcard perfection, you’ll find idyllic coves, white sands and crystal-clear waters that make Papagayo the most famous beaches and beautiful areas in Lanzarote.
The calm waters found here are ideal for families and children and many tourists enjoy the ride in via bicycle so they can soak in all the scenery up close.
