If there’s one thing that’s consistent about Puerto del Carmen, its that they certainly know how to attract the Irish.
With many activates occurring from beach sports, to music concerts, there is definitely a hustle and bustle spirit that resonates from the town during this celebratory time. With many drink stalls on site and a bunch of happy Irish, there isn’t really a lot to complain about at Puetro del Carmen during st Paddy’s season.
Go and grab a drink in the sun and watch as supposed neighboring rivalry’s melt away, as the English and Irish seem to get on very well with each other on this island!
During next March, you can celebrate St Patrick’s day at the Dia De San Patricio Festival where Irish dancing takes precedence and there is also a St Paddy’s parade at the old town harbor. Due to the success of the festival, Lanzarote took home the Irish Travel Industry Best Winter Sun Destination award in 2018
