Cuba has three main weather seasons and they are:

If you come from a country with a typically chilled climate then summers in Cuba might be too harsh for you. Temperatures in Cuba during summers can reach highs of 35 degrees (95F) during daytime. Upon nightfall, temperatures lower to around 25 degrees (77F), which is more bearable.
July to mid November is hurricane season.
No need to be afraid, if you do happen to be in a hurricane like we were you should be ok. Buildings are mostly quite solid, we were in central Havana when hurricane Irma hit, we were fine.
You need to be careful in cities like Havana, keep inside and dont walk around streets unless you have a hard hat. You run the risk of pieces of concrete landing on your head. Cuba has been through many of these storms and is well prepared.
We only lost power for 2 days. Water is usually pumped up to a header tank so always spare water to last a few days. The authorities give you good warning to allow for extra shopping and storing water in buckets for your toilet.
