Things to do and where to go in Milan in June

Thanks to the favorable climate of June, most of the activities will take place in the open spaces of the city, such as parks, along the Milan’s canal district or visiting romantic Brera district,  the artistic heart of the city.

Explore Castello Sforzesco

It’s true Milan isn’t London when talking about the parks but with more than 50 parks, there are some really amazing parks. One of them nested almost in the very center, few blocks from Duomo Square, is Parco Sempione (Sempione Park), extending on the north side of Castello Sforzesco ( (Sforza Castle in English).

Milan In June

This is my favorite park and definitely one of the most refreshing free places to visit. You can stroll around the park having a picnic and taking an aperitif break in one of fancy bars just behind the Arco della Pace (triumphal Arch of Peace), along Corso Sempione street.

Among other things you can visit La Triennale di Milano, a design and art museum in the Parco Sempione or to climb the Steel tower (Torre Branca) built in 1933 using an elevator up to 109m for a breathtaking panoramic city views.

Navigli wharf

For a real taste of the unique atmosphere of the Milan Dolce Vita you will have to go to the Navigli area. To get there, the best and quickest way is taking the metro line M2 (green line) and get off at Porta Genova station.

From there go along Via Vigevano and when you reach Navigli wharf, start exploring the clubs that line the both sides of Navigli canal. Try to be there at happy hour time from 18:00 to 22:00. Between one aperitif and the next, serving yourself from the rich buffets that are provided at happy hour, you’ll enjoy every minute there.
