One of the weekend breaks you shouldn’t miss is the first weekend of April in 2019 when beautiful flowers transform Milan’s historical Naviglio Grande into a carnival of fragrances and colors during traditional festival of Fiori e Sapori (Flowers and Flavors).
It happens just once a year, when the shores of the Naviglio (Canal) turn into a colorful, perfumed and wildly popular flower market, in a unique blossoming framework.
The event is organized by the Association of Naviglio Grande, which since 1982 has set itself the goal of enhancing one of the most characteristic and appreciated places in Milan.
Fiera di Sinigaglia (Fair of Sinigaglio) has always been an establishment in Milan. Unique flea market returning each months on every last Saturday. In 2019 it will take place in April 27th. Like always the entrance is free.
This fair always takes place on Saturday in Ticino district, on the both sides of Naviglio Grande canal. It gathers a large and varied spectators, from the collectors of rare antique looking for exotic objects to decorate the house; parents looking for special gifts for their children to all those that simply look for a bargain.
The Fiera de Sant’Angelo is a traditional Easter flowers market that takes place on Easter Monday since 1200.The hundreds of stalls cover a large part of the district of Brera. Except the flowers you can find clothing, books, paintings, and gastronomic specialties.
The market takes place from 9.00 to 19.00 in via della Moscova and in the streets around the Church of Sant’Angelo.

Botanical Treasure Hunt
In the same area of Brera, inside the Pinacoteca di Brera (Art Gallery), in the same name garden, the Botanical Treasure Hunt has been organized by Grandi Giardini (Great Gardens) Italian network.
