How to Find Long Term Rentals in Playas del Coco, Costa Rica

If you’re looking to stay in Playas del Coco, then look year long rentals in over 1000 condos, where prices start around $500 per month. The Las Las Palmas Residential Community is full of them, and there are always options available for willing stay beyond high season.

In general, property management companies like Summer Time offer a large inventory selection, while there are a few Facebook Groups worth looking into as well.

While condos make up the largest portion of long-term rentals in Coco, there are some affordable Tico homes and villas spread about. If you’re able to rent share or simply desire more space to house your family, these options start around $1000-$1200+ per month.

Summer Time

The best option for long-term vacation rentals in Playas del Coco, Summer Time has the largest available inventory.  Being a sister company of Palm Real Estate here in Coco, new rentals can appear often, as properties get listed or sold.

Most of the rentals are centered in the Las Palmas Community with long-term options being available in:

  • Jade Beach, Villa Riviera, Valle Azul
  • Green Life, Green Turtle, and Morpho
  • Pequena Pariaso, Turquoise and Cormoran

They also have a few long-term options in the nearby Agua de Lechuga and Ventimiglia developments, as well as, in Marina Loft and Cocomarindo, which are located on the road the Ocotal. For more upscale rentals, they have some availability in Colinas Turquesa, Sombras, and Pacifico too.

Do note that their website does not always contain their latest rentals, and by calling or sending them an email, you might just get lucky.

Facebook Groups

Many owners that manage their own properties, do either post their notices for long-term rentals on Facebook or actively monitor posts of those seeking them. Below you’ll find the best Facebook groups to join, so you can post your own long-term rental request.

While more community-focused, if you strike out in the groups above, try looking up Coco Chit Chat too, as a few rental notices do pop up there once in a while. At times, Facebook Marketplace also has some option, so be sure to check that out as well.

Grupo Canacol

This is not a very well-known company in tourist circles, so you’re likely to find rental properties here that are not listed anywhere else. With 20+ rental listings, there’s a decent rental selection here which includes small condos/little houses from $500-$800 and a few high-end listings starting from $1,000 per month.

Encuentura24

An online classifieds website, Encuentura24 has listings all across Costa Rica and used to be quite popular for searching rentals. Today, however, at any given time there are only around 5-10 rental listings for Playas del Coco.

Generally, you find a couple of condos here in Las Palmas for around $500-$600 per month, as wells as, some high-end developments, decent-sizes houses for $1,000-$1,300 or so.

For a decent size real estate agency, they don’t post many long-term rental listings on their website, but with a convenient location in Las Palmas, you can always drop in to see if there’s anything new.

There’s a not whole lot of rental listings on their website, with just 2-3 options in Las Palmas, but they may have more stock available if you give them a call or stop by their office.

Other Options

Searching Google can sometimes produce some new results in the Top 100, like this website where there are a few long-term rentals in Coco. Generally, Google results tend to showcase short-term rental websites where you’d pay a similar rate per week than you would for an entire month when renting long term.
