Teide National Park is located at the centre of Tenerife and offers wonderful natural sites such as the volcanic crater measuring up to 16 km. in width. A must see in Tenerife. It is also the highest peak in Spain.

A visit to the Teide National Park and enjoy the beautiful nature is one of the best things to do in Tenerife; The park is very clear in summer and visitors may enjoy the plants and wild life there. A great place for hiking lovers as well.

The Teide volcano is the most characteristic feature of the landscape of the region. Pico de Teide volcano is the highest mountain in all of Spain and is one of the best attractions.

It rises 3,718 meters (12,195 ft.) above sea level from a large volcanic depression located at an altitude of 2,000 meters (6,560 ft.) in the central part of the island of Tenerife.

Mount Teide dominates the whole island and from the summit of which all the islands can be seen, arose about 600,000 years ago after violent eruptions which covered almost the whole island.

This assembly of strange forms and colours of solidified lava, exclusive flora and the geological singularity make Teide National Park one of the the most visited ones in Spain.
