Playa Las Cucharas

Stretching from Plaza Tenerife to Meliá Salinas, Las Cucharas is the main beach of Costa Teguise. At 640m in length, it’s also one of the largest in Lanzarote.

Beach Attraction

Watersports play a significant role in the fun found here, but swimming the crystal clear waters is also very popular. Breakwaters add a calming influence to incoming waves by sheltering the beach area to the point of it being ideal for families.

For those who need a bigger rush, Las Cucharas is also one of the best locations in the world for windsurfing. At times, strong winds and rising air pressures create perfect conditions beyond the breakwater making it ideal for pros.

On an average day, it’s also great for beginners and experts alike.

The architectural gardens on its outer edge are a great place to wander in the evenings if you fancy a peaceful walk.
