Old Town Harbour

Once a small fishing village, today the Puerto del Carmen harbor boasts fantastic bars, restaurants, hotels, and is one of the top places to stay in town.

A trip to the harbor comes with scenic oceans views along with a great place to grab a bite to eat. There are many kinds of seafood varieties available to order, and of course, tapas.

Home to many major events such as the Carnival and the St Patricks Day festival, this is definitely one of the central hubs in the area. Although some parts are modern, the old harbor still oozes tradition and culture. It’s still reminiscent of the local people as fishermen can regularly be seen taking their fishing vessels out to sea.

Unlike other parts of the town, the harbor is a great place to relax. The surrounding sea view is exceptional, and you will be pushed to find a better place to watch the sun go down.

Many ships sail in and out throughout the day, and this is also where you can catch the waterbus to Puerto Calero, among other places.
