Such a beautiful park in the middle of Cienfuegos, Parque Marti is lined with stunning building dating back to the rich sugar can industry. Now the park is a world heritage listed place to be preserved forever.
On our first day in Cienfuegos we took a walk down the big boulevard lined with lovely shops, which lead us straight into Parque Marti. There is a wide road around the square with not many cars and plenty of parking.
The buildings that line the square are just stunning and well worth a look around. Most are government buildings now but there are still a few you can venture inside. There is a street that runs straight off the square housing a market selling souvnirs.
Our Opinion
Excellent place to walk around and admire the lovely old buildings. Well worth it.
Tour Tips
You’ll notice in the park a number of people with their heads stuck in their phones, that’s because the whole park is a WiFi zone. The best signal is from the middle of the square.
