On our little city tour of Cienfuegos our guide pointed out Dona Nora Restaurant. We tried the Lamb & Rabbit dishes, both were melt in the mouth tender. Great value with a nice deck for views of the Malecon.
Wed checked out a couple of restaurants in the boulevard closer to Parque Marti but they were all really expensive at $15 CUC for a main. When our guide on the city tour we did, pointed out Dona Nora and said it was a good private restaurant we decided to go check it out.
Located upstairs in a lovely old building is Dona Nora Restaurant, if youre lucky you can sit out on the deck with excellent views along the Malecon. Great people watching place!
Eating Experience
There were a couple of chef’s specials, one was the Lamb in wine and tomato sauce which I ordered and Rabbit in wine and tomato sauce which Garry had, both $7 CUC each.
Both dishes were excellent, the meat was super tender and very tasty, plus loads of it. We tried a Mojito for $3 and thought it was pretty good too.
Our Opinion
Located in a lovely old building with a waiter who spoke really good english, both our meals were excellent. We even went back a second night it was that good. Really well priced too.
