The dinner menu at Te Quedaras Restaurant in Cienfuegos is quite expensive, but lunch is really good value. Upstairs with fantastic views of the boulevard, plus WiFi is available from here.
We stopped in at Te Quedaras restaurant to see their dinner menu but mains were around $15 CUC so we didn’t bother. Today however we were after lunch, something better than a ham and cheese sandwich.
After checking out a few other restaurants which we didn’t like the look of we ended up back at Te Quedaras. The lunch menu was much more reasonable.
Seating
We got to sit out on the deck with awesome views up and down the boulevard and people watched until our food arrived. You can get WiFi too from the deck which is awesome.
Good job the menu had plenty of other options rather than the normal. It was a bit of a wait for our meal but we didn’t mind. There was very nice music playing, but then there were a couple of guys playing in a small band. They played one song, saw us leaving so out came the basket and asking for money. Sorry not paying to listen to one song.
Eating Experience
The menu is quite big with a lot of options. We decided to have the Fried Rice with shrimps, pork, chicken leek and onion in Soya sause for $4.95 CUC. Plus some French Fries – oh sorry we don’t have any of these right now. Ok, so we had the fried sweet potatoes instead at $1.50 CUC.
I had asked for a sparkling water expecting to get the Nationale kind for the usual $1.50 but they brought out the Pernod which is way more expensive at $3 CUC a bottle. Lunch was tasty and way too much for just one person, good job we only ordered one between us.
They also served us some hot crunchy buns which tasted a bit like garlic bread, this was free.
Our Opinion
Excellent views and perfect for people watching. Has WiFi. Lunch was great at $10.50 for fried rice, fried sweet potatoes and a bottle of imported water. Very tasty.
