Villa Maria is a 6 room casa with it’s own small restaurant. We tried it because it was super clean, cute and the owner, Alberto was really friendly. The food was really good.
On our walk back from the small wharf in Cienfuegos we pasted Villa Maria. We decided to have a look at the menu, the restaurant was small but looked really nice and clean. Finding good restaurants that won’t break the bank is a bit of a challange in Cienfuegos.
As the menu looked pretty good we told Alberto, the owner, wed be back for dinner. I think Alberto was suprised to see us again for dinner, Im sure many say they will come back but don’t.
We didn’t realise he also had 6 rooms for rent in his casa. We asked to have a look at one of the rooms, it was really nice, modern and very reasonablely priced at only $25 CUC per night.
The menu is small which is ok with us. I had the Chicken Fracass $7 CUC and Garry had the Smoked Pork Loin $7 CUC. My chicken was really nice and tender with 2 big drumsticks. Garry’s pork was huge, two big fat slices. Both dishes were great. The Mojitos, $3 CUC, were good too.
Cute restaurant within a small case run by the family. Alberto was really nice and our meal was very good value for money. Would highly recommend the food and the rooms in his casa.
