Intro
Below you’ll find a list of all the departure destinations coming into this wonderous eco-paradise.
Which Airport
There are two international airports for holidaymakers to arrive in Costa Rica. Liberia is located in the west and is somewhat close to the Nicaraguan border. San Jose is located in the middle of the country and serves all travelers heading north, south, or east towards Panama.
Liberia (LIR)
If you’re coming to beach towns in Guanacaste on the Pacific side like Playas del Coco, Playa Flamingo, Tamarindo, or Samara, it’s easier for you to fly into Liberia International Airport.
San Jose (SJO)
For those wanting to go to the mountains in the middle of the country (Arenal and Monteverde), the beaches to the south (Jaco and Manuel Antonio), or those on the Caribbean side near Limon (Cahuita and Puerto Viejo), it’s best to fly into San Jose International Airport.
