Located down on the waterfront close to the railway station, youll find Havana’s biggest handicraft market. This market has by far the best selection of handicrafts in one place. Youll find a number of artwork sellers who will prepare your painting for travel. Or maybe buy some leather souvenirs, tee shirts, caps, cigar boxes and much more.
This is not the place to buy cigars or rum, you need to get these at the government run shops or youll get ripped off.
There is also a Cadeca Shop for currency exchange right inside the building. For those coming off a cruise ship it’s about a 15min walk to your left as you head out of the terminal building.
Our Opinion
This is one of the best places to find souvenirs in Havana. It’s a pity there are so many stall holders all selling the same thing though. The building is not air conditioned but at least has a high ceiling to make it slightly cooler.
