Take a personal guided tour around the grand ballet theatre and the palace right next door in Havana, it’s amazing.
As we were walking along we pasted the most stunning building with four towers each tipped by a white marble angel reaching gracefully to the sky. We discovered it is the fully restored Grand Theatre (Gran Teatro) with a palace right next door inside the same building. The building is very elaborate and a wonderful sight to see. In the theatre you’ll get to see the world famous Cuban Ballet preform.
As soon as we entered the foyer a guide was ready to take us on a tour of the grand theater and palace. It didn’t seem to matter there was just the 2 of us, off we went. Cost was $5 CUC per person.
Our guide started in the Grand Theater, he explained the history and about the famous Cuban Ballet which perform here most weeks but were on holiday right now. Pity, we would have liked to see the show. Apparantely other shows go on here including concerts, plays and musicals etc.
Just follow your guide and soak up the grandeur of the whole place, it’s truly amazing. Takes around 20mins for the whole tour, well worth the small entry fee.
