A good selection of fresh bread, buns, rolls, sandwiches, pastries and cakes can be found everyday at Pasteleria Francesa bakery right next door to the Hotel Inglaterra. Sit out front and enjoy your breakfast or lunch with a cheap coffee or beer. Great WiFi, no added tax.
If youre on a really tight budget or just love sweet treats then don’t go past Pasteleria Francesa bakery. They make a pretty decent loaf of bread, buns and various pastries & cakes. Of course nothing as good as what were used to back home, but here in Havana it’s really good.
Located right next door to the Hotel Inglaterra, you can’t miss it. There are about 8 tables and chairs out the front and a few inside. It’s usually too hot to sit inside.
They also do a nice sandwich roll filled with cheese and ham for only $3.45 CUC, it’s very filling with lots of cheese – too much for me. Americano coffee is only $1 CUC and good. Opens at 8am. You can hook into the WiFi from Hotel Inglaterra from your table with your internet card.
Our Opinion
Cheap bakery with fresh bread, pastries & cakes. All very tasty and worth a visit. A loaf of bread is $1.60 CUC and the pastries start from .45c to 70c each.
