Located in Playas del Coco, Guanacaste, Costa Rica, Cocomarindo is situated on the road to Playa Ocotal. The property is about 5 minutes walking distance to the far left end of El Coco Beach and about a 10-15 minute walk or a 3-5 minute drive to downtown where all the restaurants, bars, supermarkets, and banks are. Liberia International Airport (LIR) is a 40-minute drive away.
Condos
There are 1-bedroom and 2-bedroom units available in Cocomarindo. The 1-bedrooms on either the ground or second floor allow up to 3 people, while the 2-bedrooms allow a maximum of 5 people. For disabled guests, the ground floor is more convenient as there are no elevators.
All the condos come fully furnished, with air conditioning in each room. The well-equipped kitchen in each unit has what you need to make meals at home. There is at least one full bathroom in each unit. Wifi is provided by the private host. There are flat-screen TVs with some including cable TV. Most units have an outdoor dining area on their terrace or balcony.
Amenities
The large pool is a highlight of this complex. Situated right in the middle of the property, it includes a swim-up pool bar and hot tub, though in Costa Rica they are just normal temperature. It gives a resort-hotel feeling with the little island with palm trees in the middle of the pool, a bridge from one side to the other, and lots of greenery surrounding the area.
In the common areas, there is a laundry room with a washer and dryer. As well, there is internal parking for free. The gated community with 24/7 private security is one of the services provided to keep residents safe and comfortable.
Outside the gates is an Italian Pizzeria, La Caveja where you can sit and enjoy food and a drink with family or friends. A reservation is usually not needed. Pura Vida Tattoo Co., a mini-store, and a fish market are there making it a convenient location.
For Rent
There are many websites and platforms to find available apartment rentals for Cocomarindo. They have their own site, Cocomarindo, or on Airbnb, VRBO, Summertime Rentals, and RentByOwner. These sites will provide instructions, check-in and check-out times, contact details, availability, and fine print.
Once a reservation has been made, a booking confirmation will be sent. There may be a special requests box should you require any accommodation, like extra beds though there could be an additional charge. Sanitation measures are taken seriously and the apartments are cleaned before and after each stay. If you would like a mid-stay clean, that can be requested for an additional charge.

In the living/dining area, against the wall, is a 2-person couch that turns into a sofa bed, and the dark wood dining table sits in the open area with five matching chairs facing the flat-screen TV that includes cable channels.
A minimum of 3 nights is required to book this place. Low season prices start at $95 per night, mid-season is $110, and high season is $130.

The bathroom has a standing shower, sink, and toilet, with big white tiles and decorative dolphin tiles.
The kitchen is small but has a modern design with a black and grey granite countertop with matching backsplash, and rustic grey cupboards. The bedroom contains a double bed, two wooden nightstands, and two drawers with a mirror attached to the wall. Important to note that the breaker is in the bedroom, not in the kitchen/living room like most places.
The single-wall fully-equipped kitchen is a decent size. It contains all small white appliances, such as a fridge with a top door freezer, an electric stove with an oven, and a microwave. There is a wooden square table with three matching chairs. The living area should be updated as it has a futon with a yellow-orange cover and an old cube TV.

The rental prices are cheaper because the location in Playa del Coco is a little bit out of the way from the downtown, but that is also the reason to invest as this is a popular property because it is cheaper and quiet, and units get bookings constantly.

There are tour companies that have a half-day or a full-day trip to experience wildlife, waterfalls, and Costa Rican culture. Tours should be booked in advance to get the date you want, and it is usually cheaper for payment to be in cash.
