What to Do

Thanks to the favorable climate of June, most of the activities will take place in the open spaces of the city. The best things to do are in places such as parks, along the Milan’s canal district or visiting romantic Brera district, the artistic heart of the city.

Sempione Park

It’s true Milan isn’t London when talking about the parks but with more than 50 parks, there are some really amazing parks. One of them nested almost in the very center, few blocks from Duomo Square, is Parco Sempione (Sempione Park), extending on the north side of Castello Sforzesco ( (Sforza Castle in English).

This is my favorite park and definitely one of the most refreshing free places to visit. You can stroll around the park having a picnic and taking an aperitif break in one of fancy bars just behind the Arco della Pace (triumphal Arch of Peace), along Corso Sempione street.
